Getting started
How do I start?
Book a free consultation, by form, phone or WhatsApp. Rob will talk through your goals, history, schedule and any injuries, then recommend a starting point.
What happens in the free consultation?
A relaxed conversation about your goals, history and schedule. If The Workshop isn't the right fit, Rob will tell you honestly.
Do I need to be fit already?
No. Most adult clients start with little or no structured training. The first sessions are about learning to move well.
Where are sessions held?
In Cobham, Surrey, or at your school, club or chosen facility across Elmbridge. Online programming is available if you travel.
Training
What's the difference between personal training and S&C?
Personal training is aimed at your health, fitness and body goals. Strength and conditioning is aimed at performance in a sport. Both are coached and programmed; many clients do a bit of both.
Do you run group sessions?
Yes. As well as one-to-one coaching, we run small-group personal training, youth groups and team sessions for schools and clubs. Every group is kept to a size where each person is properly coached.
Will I get a programme to follow on my own?
Yes. Clients train from the TWS app on their phone, with exercise videos, logging and coach feedback.
Can you help with nutrition?
Yes, nutrition coaching is included on the Performance and Elite personal training plans.
Young athletes
What age can my child start?
From age 8, in the Foundations stage.
Will they lift heavy weights?
Not until they have earned it. Technique and control come first; load is added gradually.
Can parents watch?
Ask Rob when you book. Parents always receive progress reports.
Testing
What equipment do you use?
VALD ForceDecks dual force plates and electronic timing gates.
How long until I get my report?
Within 2–3 days of testing.
How often should I retest?
Every 6–12 weeks, usually at the end of a training block.
Prices and booking
How much does it cost?
Personal training from £48 a session, athlete S&C from £40, youth from £38 and testing from £75. See the pricing page.
Do you offer block booking discounts?
Yes. Block bookings reduce the per-session rate.
How do I pay?
Ask Rob when you book; payment options are confirmed at the consultation.

Tell Rob what you are training for. He will tell you honestly whether he can help, and what it would look like. No commitment.
